Michael Scofield's Swan Origami

If you are a big fan of Prison Break, you probably want to learn how to fold the swan that Michael Scofield did in the series. Here's a step by step guide on how to do it. Precrease diagonally. Then kite fold.

Valley fold model into half.

Reverse fold using the precrease from step 1 as the angle bisector.

Valley fold the neck while squash folding the corner. Repeat behind.

Reverse fold the neck as far as it will go.

Reverse fold to the tail so that the two point touch.

Open flap as far as it will go.

Fold the bottom point up while closing the flap.

Mountain fold the tail flap inside(almost a kite fold, but not all of the way). Repeat behind.

Inside reverse fold the head. The bottom part of the crease is roughly made at the half way point between the tip and the chest.

Outside reverse fold the head (the beak will become parallel to the neck).

Inside reverse fold the beak, but keep the point outside of the neck. If you can, make the beak parallel to duck/swan's back.

Inside reverse fold the beak. The beak will point down slightly if you got the angle right on the last step and this one.

Valley fold point of the wing to opposing point on the back. (there is a vertical precrease.) Repeat behind.

Unfold the flaps from the previous step enough so that the duck stands.

Your end product would look something like this. Not very clear 'cos the paper color and the background are of almost the same. Maybe you would like to try putting one of these swans around or maybe down the drain to see how far it actually travels. Get smart, Scofield's a genius!
